I just started a corporation whee I paid for the attorneys fees from my personal account. How do I record this transaction in my journal? What do I debit and credit? Do I debit cash and credit common stock? Or do i debit cash and credit a note payable to myself and show no common stock? Or do I debit attorneys fees and credit common stock? Can someone please help me? I'm just trying to make sure that I don't commingle funds.
