Giving my credit card to a relative

Some young relatives are traveling around south east Asia and I would
like to give them my credit card (it has about 3K credit limit) that
they could use if they become stuck for money in some way.

If they were robbed or lost the card and it was fraudulently used,
could my bank say I was myself not taking enough care of the card by
giving it to someone else for use?

Not a good idea as they might ask the airport if you checked in with a valid
passport!

You could ask your Credit Card issuer for a additional card for your family
member. They shouldn't have a problem if they are over 18..

Yes, the banks need only the slightest excuse to not pay out and this is not
a slight excuse. As someone else said get a second card on that account.

Also can you imagine if they get into trouble and are found with the
card...family or not it would take some explaining and time to sort out.
