Global Accounting Certificate

Hello,

I just wonder what is the recognized accounting certification and designation worldwide. I mean not as a license to practice in public accounting but as an accounting certification that will be accept by most of companies in the world.

We know about CPA USA (from AICPA), CPA Australia (Certified Practicing Accountant), CGA Canada (Certified General Accountant), ACCA, CMA,CA etc..

Which is the best one to pursue?

For me, I ACCA all the way. The reason I choose ACCA is because of its global reach. The syllabus is based on IFRS which hopefully would one day be truly global in nature.

CIMA is best as i guest

@big4talk, in as much as CIMA is a good credential to have, there isthis impression that it is purely a management accounting qualification. The recent move to collaborate with AICPA is the right move in the right direction but not all employers are aware of the strategic change.
