Anyone knows how to study Managerial Accounting effectively? I've come across Financial Accounting, Audit, Tax... but none is as perceived complex as MA.
It either grabs you or it doesn't. I practiced it for 15 years then taught it for 19 years. I would go the library and grab a book by Horngren as he writes in a very easy to understand form. Financial accounting is financial analysis and deals with the past. Management Accounting in its purest form, used to be called Cost Accounting, is operational analysis including costs, margins, efficiencies and deals with planning the future based on the operational analysis.
