Help needed ,Tas Books, alternate ?

I am using TAS Books and while it is OK ( apart from the maintenance
hard sell ) there are a number of features glaringly missing. So I am
looking to replace it ASAP with as cheap a package as I can find. I
use it only for invoicing and customer statements.

Apart from the usual accounts facilities the critical points I need
addressed are.

A) That I can allocate a "trade discount " structure to a customer or
group of customers that applies to a group of products or all
products.

B) That I can apply a price increase / decrease globally across a
group of products or all products.

C) That I can, at invoice input stage, dynamically create a new
product, if it does not exits in the database

D) That I can import product / details from a spreadsheet.

E) Finally, that I can create invoice, statements using Word
templates.

Tas books :

A) No... I can make a prompt payment discount, based on days but it
is deducted at the end of the invoice , not line by line, and it
disappears if the days is exceeded. I can also offer a dynamic
discount but that is per customer per product which would take for
ever to input.

B) No.... you have to do it product by product.

C) No... if 20 lines into an invoice.... you have to exit, create the
product and re-enter.

D) No.... not a chance.

E) Yes and quite a good facility it is too.

Have a look at QuickBooks.

I'm not sure it will do everything but you can download a trial
version.
