. I am analyzing the annual report for a company (continental energy corporation) and I'm having trouble with knowing who signs off financial statements? The question asked of me was "who was the person who signs off the financial statements"
Does the company's accountants itself sign off these statements or is it the auditor?
In one part of the report the CEO and CPo acknowledge that the statements are all correct and signed it; but in the individual audit report a company also made a signiture after outlining it's responsibilities?
Another question I have is within the auditor's report Dale Matheson Carr-Hilton Labonte LLP Chartered Accountants (DMCL) was shown on the independent auditor's report and I could not find a specific name; does this mean that this company was both the auditor and the ones who signed off the financial statements?
