Help with maintaining Categories

I have recently installed Money Version 14.0.120.1105 from an earlier
version, and I find that the way it handles Categories is really unimpressive
and counter-intuitive when compared to my earlier version, and the Help is no
help at all.

I would like to be able to see them, and delet them if un-needed. The
instructions in the Help system about managing them bear no relation to what
I can see on the screen (there is no entry Account Tools in Banking that I
can see). Also the Help tells me to divide a Category name and a sub
Category name with a colon ':' when adding, but the system then rejects that
character as not acceptable.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Go to
Banking->AccountTools->Categories&Payees->Categories
(better yet, click Shortcuts at the top and add Categories as a
shortcut to make navigation like this shorter).

Delete, Modify or Move Categories as you wish using buttons at the
bottom, or, alternatively, right-click the particular category for
choice.

Thanks for your response on the 'Banking' tab. However, when I press this
tab I get what seems to me to be something selling financal information, and
there is nothing there about 'Account Tools'. Have I got something wrong
with my setup?

Thanks

Thanks for both bits of information - I finally found Account Tools not
under Banking, but under Accounts. I found it by using the 'Shortcuts'
option to get to Categories, and having got there, located where it is.

The information on dual categories was also great - that looks much better.

Thanks

Maybe it is a regional difference. What choices do you have in the
line below Banking when you click Banking?

Do you have the Shortcuts icon at the top of your Money 2005 window?
If so, configure in the Categories icon.
