USA Holdin company consolidation

When consolidating for tax purposes a holding company, C corp, with it's only sub., Do the investment account of each other( investment in and investment from) come off as do all the other inter company transactions? If so where does the investment of holding show up in the 1120.

The investment in subsidiary account should be eliminated in consolidation. This generally offsets the corresponding equity accounts in the subsidiary G/L
