Holiday job at the reconciliation department of a bank?

I was recently offered an interview for a holiday job at a bank (reconciliations department).

Basically, I would assist in the monitoring and control function of reconciliations. I will need to analyze, evaluate, rate and comment on the validity and accuracy on the information of reconciliations. Substantiations to the GL and source systemts should be performed.

Can anyone offer me a more clearer description on what I will need to do? I do not have an accounting background and would like to know if I will be able to complete this 3 month job?

Any advice will be appreciated.
