How do you identify which lot to sell

M

Money

I am a long time Quicken user who just recently installed Money. I am trying
to figure out how to tell money which lot of stock I sold. Unlike quicken
there does not appear to be away to see the various lots of a stock and pick
which one I sold. Help! If this is not available it is really going to
complicate my record keeping for my employee stock purchase plan.

Untick Tools->Settings->InvestmentSettings->TrackAllInvesmentsAsFIFO

While you are thinking of it, for each mutual fund, you can select
the method (2 kind of average or specific identification) in the
Settings for each fund.

Make sure that your MMF is shown as type MMF rather than Mutual
Fund; you don't want those cluttering your schedule D.

If you already had some automatically allocated incorrectly,
right-click the Sell,and select ReallocateLots.
