How many hours are recommended for each part of the CPA exam?

Please note, this needs only apply to self-study, not courses. Also,
which publishers do you like out of Gleim, Wiley, and Bisk? Why?

    Thanks,
    Brett

    Brett,

The amount of study time required for each part of the exam varies
from person to person. You will have to make an assessment of your
strong and weak areas of the exam by taking the practice tests that
come with your self-study courses. Naturally it would make more sense
to allocate more time to your weaker areas.

You might want to go to http://www.aicpa.org and click on CPA Exam and try
some practice questions and tutorials they provide. I believe they are
offering some free material also. Check it out.

Last figure I heard (been twenty years) was an average of 850 hours
total, past graduating with a degree in accounting.
