UK How to calculate Assets Under Management?

Hi,

Does anyone have any idea how to calculate assets under management from an annual report? Just like the total AUM of Japan Post Bank.

I dont think there is one single definition but what I see most is cash and invested assets plus third party assets managed. Generally these are valued at market or fair value. The SEC has issued some guidelines in an attempt to bring conformity in the definition and can be found here as a broad overview of the rule:
