Hello,
I am new to book keeping and I have my first client who wishes to pay me on the 12th of each month but requires the invoice to be sent by the last day of each month.
From the 12th to the 12th of each month I should work 100 hours for this particular client, but by the time I create the invoice I only reach about 70 Hours.
How can I invoice this company on the 31th of this month, account the work I have already done(number of hours) + the rest of the hours that need to be completed but, still invoice the full initial agreed amount that pays for the whole 100 hours.
In my invoice shall I write:
Invoice date 31st July 2014
70 Hours from 1st of July till 31st of July €1000
30 Hours (advance payment) €300 <---------??
Would this be correct?
Thank you,
Regards,
Ben
