If I am upgrading from Q2012 to Q2015 will I be able to install my 2012 files?

I need to reset my computer and for some reason can't find my Q2012 program.
In either case I need to upgrade and would like to know if I will be able to
import my 2012 files after I install 2015?

Assuming that the 2012 and 2015 programs are the same platform (both Mac orboth Win), the the install function will take care of converting the file.

NOTE, that if you have any File passwords (that you input when first opening Q), or Transaction Password (to change a transactions that's older than Xdate) in the 2012 file, you should remove them before installing Q2015 ...as the conversion routing sometimes chokes on them

ALSO, it's advisable to run a File, File Operation, Validate & Repair on the 2012 file ... just to make sure that you're bringing over the cleanest file possible.
