Import CSV, Auto-categorizing, Non QuickBooks software
I like the fact that QuickBooks can set rulesfor for auto categorizing
But QuickBooks is so intrusive, and expensive.

Is there some program that does close to the same thing.
I'm just using it for household records, so it doesn't have to be very complex.

No online data. Would love a Android app

I'll recommend you to go for the PC version. Xero is online accounting software. However if you are going for sage 50, you can opt for Sage 50 hosting.

If you're doing accounting, you're entering numbers. If you're entering numbers, you need a good keyboard with a numeric keypad, which you will only readily find on a PC.

Several different accounting packages can import csv or some other form of data. Since CSV is easily manipulated in spreadsheet programs, converting from one format to another is also not too hard.
