USA Individual that owns partnership that owns multiple partnerships

I have an individual that owns a partnership. The partnership owns multiple partnerships. Do I account for each individual partnership inside the partnership or can I combine them together. The K-1 combines them but the supplemental information provides each partnership and its income. Looking at the passive activity rules, you are not suppose to combine activities, but you have to keep track of basis. How can you keep track of basis of the partnership that the individual owns if you account for all the activities separately?
