What is the difference between the PERPETUAL and PERIODIC INVENTORY SYSTEMS?........... which system is better to use and why?

Perpetual and Periodic Inventory

In a nutshell perpetual is a system that tracks the level of inventory continuously. Periodic is where an inventory count is done at specific intervals and inventory is not known until the count occurs.
