I'm a senior graduating in May and I've received a job offer for 60k starting for a midsize firm in NYC. I was initially very excited but then I did some research and let some friends get into my head and now I'm not so sure. Do you guys believe this offer is reasonable?

Graduating from what? College? High school? I am assuming college.

Do you have any other offers?

If you have no other offers and the income will allow you to live in the area, it is reasonable especially considering you are a greenhorn without a CPA certificate.

60K is on the high end but not crazy for NYC entry level and is about what my firm would pay. What concerned you about the research and what issues did your friends raise that made you question the offer?
