Journal entries from auditors

Hi,

We have finished our year end audit in March. Our fiscal year end was October 2017. I received a bunch of AJE's from the auditors and I'm trying to determine what period to post this in. Should I open up October and post the entries there or should I post it to the current month end, which is May?

If your auditor expects these to be in the final financial statements they audited I would post back to October so they end up in that period. It means re-opening the books but allows us a trail back to the GL and financial statements.
