I have been involved in a long running legal dispute, nearly 7 years.
I have been paying my solicitor sums as required over the years and
putting it in the loss account for submission to IR.

The case was finally settled this year (total legal fees just under
    £10k, awarded just over £8k + compensation (around £1.5k + interest).
What do I show in the Profit loss account this year?

I am a sole trader if that makes a difference.
