Bristol, as I have found an old policy.

I have searched for them on the web but can find no trace. Anyone
know what happened to them and how I may contact their successors?

That is the London Life (that were based in Bristol in more recent years)
that you are looking for. They were taken over by AMP and administration
merged into the Pearl operation.

London Life that used to be in Bristol are currently in Peterborough at
the address given by other posting in this thread.
