I was marriend this past October to a UK citizen. He is here in the states and has been since August, but is not working, and does not have permission to work as of yet. We are applying for an adjustment of status at this time. He does not work, and he does not have a SSN. How do I file taxes so that I can claim him? I know that dependents have to have a SSN. I don't really know what I am supposed to do at this point, and any advice is welcomed. Thank you so much.
