Please consider releasing the source code for Microsoft Money to the
opensource community so that that although Microsoft is no longer developing
the Money Software the opensource community can keep on developing it for
current users.

Ignoring for a moment the fact that doing this would be to Microsoft like be
like Apple allowing a clone, there are some real issues with this that stem
from all of the non-Money components that are rolled into Money.

I agree, Mones is a great product. would consider even paying a reasonable
fee to keep the service and support going

BTW, Microsoft is still able to reval code of Money without revaling those
non-Money components.

Yeah but it certainly wouldn't do you anywhere near as much good since you
couldn't build a working executable without replacing that functionality
they link in that was not part of the Money core code. And you'd have to
replace that functionality from what little you could learn from how they
call it...

I.e., the underlying database engine and the overlying UI engine, to name
just the most obvious two we know about.
