Migrating from QB Pro 2008 to MOA 2009

Has anyone successfully done this? I get stuck in the import process. The
program freezes on the import page, and when I try to close it down with
windows task manager I get the message "can't shut down because the program
is waiting for input from you" but there is no box available for me to input
into. It possibly is layered under the visible windows, but since the desktop
is frozen I can't get to it.

Karri,

That sounds familiar. I think it happened to me to. But I was able to move
the windows around and see the dialog box.

I transfered my data from QB2008 accountants edition to MOA 2009. It did
work OK but had two database read errors. I have not found anything missing
from my books but none of the invoices were connected to the payments!

correction to my previous post: The invoices were connected to the payments.
Sorry for the confusion.

The problem with my conversion was that none of the PO's were shown as
received.

Other than that the conversion was good.

I'm wondering if it has something to to with my anitvirus protection- I have
360 3.0 installed. I haven't been able to figue out how to disable it enough.

I get stuck where Quickbooks is supposed to open - it never opens and the
screen is frozen. (Just the moa program windows, not the task bar, mouse, etc)

I thought so too, but disabling my AV made no difference. The QB import
is just poorly tested and generally broken. I imported a few things, but
the rest I had to export to Excel in QB and import, and other items we
just manually put in by hand for the year.
