About $7.50 USA dollars, but some states have set higher minimum wages.

Yep, there is a federally mandated minimum wage but each individual state can set their own minimum wage as long as it isn't below the federal rate. Like here in CA: this year its $9.00. In a few more years, it will be $15.

That is, each state may set its own minimum wage, but not less than the federal level.
