Modifying Accounts

I see that I can transfer money and and make transactions and stuff with quicken (does this modify my ACTUAL account?). My concern is, I am new to quicken and I worry that I may modify or affect my ACTUAL account through my usage of quicken. Is this a possibility? Because right now I am just exploring the features and clicking and I don't want to mess anything up.

Essentially, I dont want to accidently modify any accounts outside of the Quicken program itself.
