Money 2001 & Windows XP

I am using Money 2001 Small Business edition, running on
Windows XP. I use it regularly when I am logged on to my
own account but when somebody else in the family tries to
use it on their own account it does not even start.

Can anybody suggest what the problem is and how to solve
it.

Prior to M2004 Money HAS to be installed and run from an Administrators
account.

Thanks Bob,

Does that mean that if I upgrade to Money 2004 or 2005
(when it's out) I will only have to install once and it
will be available to all users?

Yes. But be very very careful. Money is designed to be a single user product
and has no provision for record locking etc, so there is potential for file
corruption if two users try and access the same Money file simultaneously.

M2005 is supposed to be out anytime now.

OK Thanks,

But presumably if we are sharing just one PC and using it
at different times and using different files it should be
OK.

I think Money 2004 will refuse to open for the other user until the
first one closes it.
