Moving from US to Canada, maybe from Quicken to Money

Discussion in 'Microsoft Money' started by Dave Bachmann, Feb 5, 2005.

  1. I'm a long-time Quicken user who is getting tired of their product and their
problems. As I've recently moved from the US to Canada I've been told I need
to get a Canadian copy of Money or Quicken in order to access my Canadian
banks and download online. A number of questions arise:
    1. Do I need Money 2005 to access Canadian banks (TD CanadaTrust)?
    2. Are there any file-format issues between Money and the banks as there are
with the new Quicken file formats?
    3. Will Canadian Money 2005 import from US Quicken 2004?
    4. Does Money integrate with any Canadian tax prep packages the way that
    Quicken and TurboTax integrate?
    5. Any gotchas out there that are likely to come as unwelcome surprises in
    this kind of transition?

    Much thanx!
    Dave
