Yes, I got one too as their first response. Did you write to the CEO or just
give up at that point?
After unsatifactory responses to my emails I went all the way through
their official complaints procedure. This was in their final
response. In fact all most of communications said basically the same
thing. I think they were just boilerplate responses as they did not
specifically address the points I made.
That's not to say it won't - especially if enough people escalate their
complaints to the top men in Nationwide.
There's plenty of other banks around and I am "voting with my feet".
They may introduce OFX downloads in the future but I'm not prepared to
wait. It's not as if NW have been particularly good in the recent
past. They have made a worrying number of mistakes, for example.
