Processing Rates
Determining what to expect on your processing rates can be a little difficult to predict as there are various types of merchant account programs which all have different rates and terms. For Merchant accounts, the fees vary as some merchant accounts are periodic and others can be charged on a per-item or percentage-based type system.
But since you are a retail business, obviously a retail merchant account would be most suitable. Expect retail discount rates starting from anywhere around the 1.29% ballpark area.
