Hello all,

Feels great to join this forum. I live in NJ and have started a new job in New York City. I'm doing corp-to-corp with another consulting firm based in NJ. I just incorporated my company in NJ state (C-corp, will convert to S-corp soon) and am about to apply for EIN. I'm my only employee. What other items do I need to complete my setup and process payroll? I also have the following questions. I'm talking to some accountants right now about these items, but would also like to obtain some good advice in this forum.
1. Was it a good decision to incorporate my company in NJ or would NY/DE have been better options?
2. Do I need to register my company as a foreign entity in NY state? What fees are associated with it? Does that mean I have to pay annual fees in both NJ and NY?
3. How do I structure my revenue distribution so that I can receive the maximum tax benefit?

Thanks and appreciate any advice I can get at this point.
