Who is hosting this NG?

I notice that there are no professional accountancy
newsgroups (I think Compuserve had a forum once).

Would the host of this one be prepared to take on
another?

(I apologise to the person who will be offended by
an off-topic query and suggestion).

Lots of people. Usenet is a distributed thing, not a single site forum.

http://computer.howstuffworks.com/newsgroup.htm tells you how they work.

Ah, you want to create a new newsgroup. The process described in the article
above doesn't cover creation in the UK hierarchy - but a google should find
sufficient information for you. (and if you can't find it out, you probably
don't want to be creating newsgroups).

cheers,
clive

Your ISP - or Google. Usenet isn't controlled by any one person, but by
lots of people working together.

If it is a uk group, then www.usenet.org.uk will explain how to go about it.
