Newsgroups sometimes outrun Fortune 's articles

Suprised. just finised reading this issue and the last issue of
fortune. This issue, there was a topic on SAP & Oracle. The messages
board have discussed the same topic two months ago. The topics like
'what are the american jobs gone ?' seem little too slow for
accountants.

There have been lots of threads here about jobs - mostly about accounting
related jobs.

If you have a particular opinion you would like to share and there is no
thread running you can certainly start one - and maybe you are.

Your reading the wrong magazine.

My recommendation is read Forbes.

BTW, the jobs initially went to Mexico and now the PRC.

It is one of those "for want of a nail.." trails, for folks who like to
do that kind of tracing.

The manufacturing gets shipped overseas, and soon you don't need
accountants or auditors.

I believe Forbe is more like a summary of business/finance sections of
all newspapers, when fortune is deisgned for accountants and
investors.

That is different than the impression I get.

I see Fortune as basically pandering toward the investment community.

I see Forbes as reporting the facts and conclusions drawn from those
facts after investigation.

I've always enjoyed reading Forbes, but I've always felt shortchanged
every time I've read Fortune. YMMV.
