I keep getting a message in the Store Operations POS that the tenders are not
setup.
I have added my different tender types in the manager and shutdown then
reloaded the pos -- however, no joy. The help message doesn't really tell me
what the problem is. I have even tried to duplicate what the sample DB that
comes with the system has.
Any ideas?

You need to run a Z at each POS terminal for the changes to go into effect.

Sorry -- once I actually woke up and realized what you were saying --- done.
Thank you guys for your help on this. I am sure I will have more as I move
through this setup process. Any and all pointers are very much welcome. We
will be opening a beverage store with 12 lanes and ultimately (a couple of
months down the road), two locations.

Thanks again. S

Who sold you your system they should have covered all of this.
Use a reseller that is what we are for.

At this point it is a total money issue.
We are pretty cash poor with building (remodeling this space) and stocking.
So for the moment, we are trying to get all of this up and running on our own.
I am actually very technical, but am extremely new to all of the POS stuff.

Do understand and it is good you are that way nice to have someone on staff
that can understand/handle things.
But a couple of hours of Dealer time is more than worth the money in what
you can learn.

Couldn't agree more with Richard - it's worth it - you can know a lot about
RAM and ROM but you're dealing with a business application that will interact
with several hardware items. As you've probably figured out by now, RMS is
not "plug and play" out of the box; the newsgroup is a good source of support
but by no means can it replace a few hours of training and consulting with a
good RMS reseller - good luck with your store.
