USA Online or Distance Program Recommendations?

Does anyone have any recommendations for online or distance programs where I could earn the required credits to sit the CPA exams in California?

I have a BA and an MA in field unrelated to accounting, but I'm considering a career change.

You can take the online path and get a CPA license this way. But the key question is whether a potential employer will be comfortable with that. I still see lots of employers who see the online path as second best. So that is something you need to research before you take the online path.

And for an extreme example: if you needed brain surgery would you choose the doctor with the traditional education or the doctor who completed an online program?

The University of California- Sacramento has a program as well as many brick and mortar schools now. I would choose one close to home and an employer won't know if it is online or not. Just a thought...
