"online quotes server"

I've posted before on the same subject. Before anyone
posts a reply saying to "... read the posts..." I'll say
that I've read posts from other posters with the same
issue. I have not been able to resolve the issue using
other's guidance, i.e. deleting all files from IE
via "Internet Options" and then immediately downloading
quotes again.
I have the same problem using both MS 2002 & MS 2004 Small
Bus which suggests it's something with my pcconfiguration
but I'll be damned if I can figure out what it is. Any hlp
would be greatly appreciated.

Did the other posts talk of firewalls such as Zone Alarm, NAV or
whatever?

Cal,
Yes, other posts did discuss firewall and related software
ssues (e.g. Ad Aware, etc.) but went on to say that it
isn't likely a cause of the problem. I am not using any
firewall software. Although I do run Ad-Aware, it hasn't
been an issue in the past but I have disabled it while
attempting to update securities quotes with the same
results. The last online prices I've been able to retrieve
was 1/23//2004. Those securities that have distributed
divedends do have prices updated (hen the distributon
takes place) bt other than that I've been unable to update
securities prices oline since the latter part of January.
