Online update new features

Andrew B.

I just let Quickbooks do an online update. The message said it was
adding new features. My question is, where can I find out what those
new features are? If I know what they are, I might want to use them.

I would hope their website will tell you what a maintenance release
does; but you can't really count on the full truth... As example the
r4 'maintenance release' of q.b. pro99 *killed* some program ability
clandestinely.

In any case *why* did you allow an 'update' you didn't know in advance
what it would do??? Did you have a specific problem that needed to be
addressed? Or just living dangerously...<g>

Open QB.
File, Update QuickBooks, Update.
Recent updates are listed - click each to see a description.

The descriptions are usually very brief. Do not expect a lot of new features. Significant new features are implemented in new versions; new features in maintenance updates are generally very minor, maybe something like "date added to a report".

Only foolish people 'update' for no reason. The axiom *is*; if it ain't
broke; don't fix it! Only you would apparently disagree Allan? How
can we tell though; you offer nothing but spank again...

BULLSHIT, if that axiom were true we would still be using pencil and paper
for bookkeeping.

Computerizing accounting led to far fewer mathematical errors alone as
reason; a boon to the industry you 'consultant' dolt. Therefore there
was compelling reason to 'update' into new technology...

Far from the knee jerk policy you put on corporate announced 'latest and
greatest' updates; that usually serve to update the Corp bank account of
those offering them; assuming they don't BUST something that currently
works for you. Then of course some corps have the gall to charge you
for the repair... Sound familiar in this forum???

Fancy words but it all comes down to your being too cheap to spend any money
on a upgrade.
