Online Updates Not Working

PCA 2004 Version - Online updates do not work anymore. Not blocked by
Firewall, LAN Connection with Cable Modem, can access Peachtree's web
site from within Peachtree, etc. but the online update says it can't
find an internet connection. The connection is defined in Peachtree
and I have gotten updates in the past. It tells me it checked for
updates 88 days ago but will not anymore. Anyone run across a problem
like this?

Fixed my own problem!!! I changed many different settings one at a
time. The one that did it was the "Passive FTP..." setting in
Internet Explorer. FYI for anyone who may rip all their hair out one
day with this problem!

There must be some problem with your firewall settings, do you have some antivirus software installed in your system or are you behind some proxy server or gateway because both of these mostly related to such problems of internet connectivity. There is least possibility of updater software getting corrupted but I am not denying the fact. I prefer to use online application hosting or third party quickbooks hosting.
