opening pTree Databases from a Zip Drive- (sounds simple enough....)

G

geeship

thanks for helping:

i'm using pTreee 2002 and just need to open some databases that are on
a zip drive.

i don't think that company files that are on the disks were made with
the internal backup utility for pTree- the data is from the years
1999/2000 and 2000/2001, i am not familiar with the issues/practices
of moving older data through newer verions of the program -

here's what i've tried so far:
creating a new company ( named 'shell')
then
puting the files in the peachtree directory folder ( P:\ - a mapped
drive on the server)
error message when trying to bring up the company "
p:\\reports\diff.zip was not found, please reinstall the program..."
there is another file that it is looking for on a second error
message, another .zip file
when i try and run a restore through pTree, it's only looking for a
..pbt - no such file on the media

here's the end of my .ini file from the workstation i'm on:
[Open History]
Company0=P:\shell
Company1=P:\fitavell
Company2=P:\msia
Company3=P:\MSIBAC~1
Company4=P:\!_PDG
Company5=P:\msiand
Company6=
Company7=
Company8=
Company9=

thanks in advace-
