I use TurboTax to do my taxes and it pulled down my stock trades for last
year fine, but it did not pull down the option trades. Do I need to enter
these by hand? Or are gains and loses for options reported in some other
fashion?

Yup... Pull down the data and past them on xCell calculation and print it
when filing. I've been doing that and IRS never complained about it.

I'm not sure I understand what what means. Print out an Excel spreadsheet?
What about gains/loses?
