So this POST is to start the thread which I don't see created - Just want to
wish all the regulars and lurkers a HAPPY HOLIDAY season, MERRY CHRISTMAS,
HAPPY HANUKKAH, HAPPY KWANZAA, whatever you might celebrate and/or observe.
Here's to many interesting discussions about Q in '06!

I second the motion. Hapy ... to all, and best wishes for 2006!
For myself, I hope that the move from 2005 deluxe to 2006 premier will go
without hitches.

While meandering in search of a solution for a problem I've been
encountering, I chanced upon your greeting. (The congenial greeting is
so timely for the endless and fruitless search that it makes me pause
and salute your good wishes.)
And maybe someone of good will on your posting can point me to how I
can define the problem for a search so I can resolve the issue.
I have WIN 98SE and Quicken 6 in my desktop. When I download from
diskcopies of my bank account, the dates of transactions appear with an
apostrophe instead instead of the conventional--an expected slash.
(Thus: 12/xx'05 instead of 12/xx/05) Attempts to use the Find &
Rep[lace mode fail. The only way I've able to make the correction is by
placing the cursor on 5, backspacing to remove the error and and typing
in the /05. (The 05, when I highlight it for correction shows up as
1905...which is a bit before my time.) Handling the change transaction
by transaction is boring, to say the least, especially for 200 or so
per month. There must be a better way. Has anybody had to cope with
this maverick behavior?
Peace and good health for the new year and beyond.

"feel free to append!" - as opposed to what? Having to pay?!?
