In help, it says, there are three ways that you can pay your employees.
However my only option in the employees menu is payroll and connects me to
ADP. I would like to do payroll with out ADP.
Please advise.
Thank You

I think you should be given another chance to work this problem out on your
own.

Hi H3 Fix-A-Dent Inc.,
Depending on how many employees you have vs time keeping up with payroll,
payroll taxes, tax filing periods, etc... there are really only 2 options.
Your local accountant or ADP.
The later (ADP) is very cost effective. Have a look here:
http://sba.microsoft.com/payroll_overview.html
ADP support is very good and can supply you with a detailed cost per month
that you can easily include in your service/labor per hr charges.
Also, if you use a local accountant for filing your IRS freakin over charge
tax liabilities per year you could ask them about including payroll into an
account with them.
ADP would likely cut your costs for processing payroll...

No this is:

You do not even own a computer. How would you pay your employees? How did
the pilgrims pay their employees.

No there are clues here. MS has decided that you should not do your own
payroll and as such have totally eliminated the capability from the software.
I do not have any information to substantiate this but it is my opinion that
there is a financial arrangement between MS & ADP with this product. You'll
notice that there are advertisements of all sorts always popping up on the
opening page. I suspect that this is MS way of paying for the development of
the software so that they can sell it for $150.00 to small businesses. I have
spoken directly with MS and their market is directly the very small company.
I understand all of this I just wish they had been more forthcoming with
their marketing. Jim
