Peachtree Reporting

We are currently using Peachtree Complete Accounting 7.0. Our business is
growing to the point that we need to find a way to track sales against
specific advertising campaigns - Basically we need to see what adverting is
truly working and what isn't.

Does the new version of Peachtree or QuickBooks support this type of
reporting? Any way to do this on 7.0?

Peachtree has no userdefined fields on the sales order/invoice but
Quickbooks does.
Still, there are ways - you could use salesperson ID or PO# for this
purpose.
You could use Job Cost codes to track this revenue.
You could also use different inventory items, although it is not a great
idea.

How do you want to track this sales revenue?

If what you mean is tracking by items sold you don't need more fields.
Can you be a bit more specific at what you want to track.

I'd like a report that tells me revenue and/or profit from sales that
originated from specific advertising. For example: We have a yellow pages
ad that costs us about $9,000/year. I'd like to know how much in sales we
have that are a result frol this ad... and every other type of marketing
we do.
