Pennsylvania statute of limitations

In Pennsylvania, what is the statute of limitations for legal action or
collection on a mortgage that was never paid?

The mortgage was from 24 years ago, and was a small privately held mortgage.
No legal action of any kind was ever initiated for non-payment of the
mortgage or for foreclosure, and there are no judgment liens against the
property -- just the recorded mortgage documents.

Is it now past the statute of limitations for any type of collection action
on this mortgage?

The time limit has long passed frankly...If someone is coming after
you about it, just get a lawyer..

I think that's probably correct, but I was wondering if there was anything
special or different because it was a mortgage. I know judgments in some
states can last 20 years and be renewed for another 20, but there was never
any litigation or complaint and there are no judgments.

That's not exactly the situation, but a somewhat related question has
arisen, so I'm trying to get some additional information. If I end up
needing to consult a lawyer, I will do so.

Thanks.

I agree most people can be declared dead in less time " 7 years of no
communication will get you their " as far as I can remember the statute
for limitations is 7 years on that sort of thing.
