Q03: Bills on Home Page

When setting up a customized home page in Q03 Basic, one may
have "Bills & Scheduled Transactions". The options for this are to
show "current" items (due today, or overdue) or "all" items
(even those that are months away).

My previous version of Quicken (2000) was smarter about this,
it could show items coming up "soon" but not everything. Is there
any way to make Q2003 behave this way?

Q2002 deluxe for Windows, US only has the same two choices:
"Show All" or "Show Current"; but current is *not* items due
today or overdue; it is items that meet the criteria you set for
scheduled transactions to prompt you. That is, any scheduled
transaction that has reached the point where you have asked to
be prompted, should appear when you select "Show Current".

OK, if I edit each scheduled transaction, there is a field for
"Prompt me to enter in register <n> days before due date."
I assume that's what you're referring to. Mine are all set to 0,
I will increase them. Thanks.

Q2000 didn't have this control on the individual transactions;
now I see that it did have a global setting, under
Edit - Options - Reminders where it asked
"How many days in advance do you want to be reminded (0-30)?"
In Q2003, this item has been removed from the Edit -
Preferences - Reminders box.

Q 2000 dies next Tuesday, oh how I will miss it.
