Quickbooks accounting periods

We are a sm farming and manfacturing operation using quickbooks premier
Mfg & wholesale 04 ed.

We are set up on a standard annual reporting cycle. I would like to
see reports that follow our crop cycle [Oct to Sept], is there a way to
keep our standard year for IRS and banks but view for management
reasons reports on a crop year basis. Our bookkeeper doesn't think it
is possible to do this within quickbooks.

Thanx,

Thanx,
You can change the reporting dates of any of the reports. Changing the
dates of the report doesn't change any of your data, or standard accounting
year. Pull up a P&L and change the report dates to 10/1/03 to 9/30/04.

There a few add-on products for QB that allow you to import data into
Access. one of them is CoreObjx and AccessBooks from www.synergration.com .
You would periodically import the data into Access and run your reporting
based on alternate periods.

Look on the AB site for add-on pruducts. I believe thay have a directory of
tha various add-ons available.

The implementation is not very fast, but is adequate for small companies.
