Quickbooks RDS giving SSL errors

I'm trying to use the RDS software that came with SDK2.1, but when I
try to connect, with the client and a test program or with the
browser, I get a failure to establish a SSL connection. Mozilla
reports the certificate presented by the server is "invalid or
corrupted." IE 5.5, paragon of security that it is, allows me to
accept the certificate anyway. It did cite that the certificate
authority was not recognized, and that the name on the certificate did
    not match the site.

Has anyone else had such problems? This could be such a useful program
    if it would just work.

    Thanks!
    JA
