quicken 2004 401k tracking and exporting reports

When I converted to Quicken 2004 Deluxe from 2001 Deluxe in September, I
began at that point setting up my paycheck to download 401k transactions
instead of entering each employee purchase and employer purchaser manually
like I had been having to do in the past.

Before September in Quicken 2001 in my paycheck setup, I had the 401k
contribution as a transfer to the account [T Rowe Price] for just my
deduction amount. In order to balance the downloaded transactions with the
transfers from the paycheck, someone on here told me to add two lines to my
paycheck setup to track properly the employer's contribution to the 401k
account each pay period. So, that amount is set up with a separate negative
amount transfered to the same account [T Rowe Price] since that is where the
downloaded transaction positive amounts are downloaded to. Then, to offset
the employer amount which is not a deduction from my paycheck, I sent a
positive amount each pay period to Quicken's category _401EmployerContrib,
and of course that part does not hit any tax schedules.

The problem is that Quicken 2004 has set up a category somewhere behind the
scenes called _401Contrib somewhere that goes into my tax schedule report
that is used to export to TFT so that my tax software can pick up what it
needs to for the report. This tracking procedure Quicken set up might be
fine if it would capture it for the entire year and not stop at my 8-29-03
pay period. But the Quicken generated item for _401 Contrib has instead
quit being made apparently after the date I started Quicken 2004 and altered
my 401k account to go online. So, I need that item _401Contrib to go on all
year so I can track the total amount for the year. Right now I am double
dipping the first 8 months contribution amount and the employer contribution
amount because they are also entering the tax schedule as a reduction to my
salary - self item on the tax schedule. If I quit allowing the transfers
into the account [T Rowe Price] to reduce my salary - self, then I am not
reducing the tax line salary - self at this point for the period of Sept
through December.

Any ideas where to start?
