Quicken Basic 2004 Reminders?

Hi,

I recently switched from Money 2003 and am having a problem. I use
online bill payment through my bank's web site. All bill are entered
through a web browser, not Quicken. I then download the transactions
once they clear. Is there any way I can get Quicken to remind me when
the bills are due? I have them set up as scheduled transactions but
it keeps wanting to enter the transaction for me (which it does not
need to do since it will download from the bank once it clears.)
Thanks for any suggestions.

I use Q2002; I don't know if the scheduled transaction mechanism has
changed, but I think it is still similar.

Quicken does not force you to actually put a scheduled transaction in the
register, it allows you to "skip" it if you choose.

But I do not understand why you wouldn't want the transaction in the
register anyway; if it is there already, the downloaded transaction will
"match" the one already in the register, just altering the "posting" date of
the existing matched transaction. If you were manually writing a check,
wouldn't you "enter" that check in your manual check register the day you
wrote it, then wait for the bank to send you a statement telling you that
the check had cleared?
