For accounting purposes, is it better to reduce client costs (categorized as an asset in QB's) or attorneys' fees (income). We are trying to help a client out by providing a discount and not sure whether to reduce fees or costs. Thanks in advance for the help.

It depends on what your goal is. One affects your balance sheet while the other changes your income statement for the year--which do you want to change?
